Queries to Bev while Hazel is on holiday

I'm off to lie on a beach for a few days. While I'm away Bev (Neighbour) is the main contact for the reunion. Bev's e-mail address is: beverley.banerji@btinternet.com. I'll be back online on 12th March.

Tickets now on sale for Saturday 15th July

Thank you to everyone who has updated me over the past few days on their plans to come along to the event on Saturday 15th July. With this information I have been able to make a good estimate of numbers, and set the ticket price at £18.70 per person. This includes lunch, and a contribution to the cost of the room hire (including catering/bar/cleaning staff etc.).

There are two options for purchasing your ticket(s):
  • by cheque
  • by electronic funds transfer
Given that this web log is publicly accessible, I will not display my home address or bank details on this page. Instead, I will send this information out to individuals by e-mail. (However, if a complete stranger would like to beef up my bank account with a couple of million, I promise not to complain!)

Anyone who would like a paper receipt should send me a stamped addressed envelope with payment. Otherwise, I will acknowledge that you have paid by e-mail.

Finally, if you have any special dietary requirements, please could you let me know at your time of booking.
Venue and lunch for Saturday 15th July now booked

I have just written a big cheque (gulp!) to confirm our booking in the Astor Suite, Staff House, Edgbaston campus for Saturday 15th July. We have the room from 11.30am onwards. There will be a cash bar, and lunch will be served at 12.30pm.

If you can't remember where Staff House is, it's building 28 on the campus map held at: http://www.bham.ac.uk/page.asp?section=000100010001000200100001. Alternatively, if you imagine that you are standing on the Main Library steps, Staff House is the big building to the right of you.
Birmingham University alumni e-mail directory

Did you know that the University has a password-protected alumni e-mail address directory? Some of our e-mail addresses are already held there. If you haven't used the directory before, you may like to take a look to see who is listed, and to add your own details. The directory may be a good way for us to share our e-mail addresses as a group without making them publicly available (as would be the case they were listed them all on this blog). The directory is held at: http://www.alumniarchive.bham.ac.uk/alumnidatabase/
